Relay for Life is a fun, outdoor and overnight fundraising event where teams of 10 to 15 people take turns to walk or run around a local oval to raise money for cancer research. Coordinated by The Cancel Council, the event honours those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

A festival-style atmosphere is created around the event with participants entertained with bands, food and fun and encouraged to pitch a tent.

Charlie Kessler, Major Account Services Manager, Sinnott Bros, his wife Rosie and daughters Natasha and Holly, decided to join the Cancel Council at Willoughby and started a small team, setting themselves a huge target of $10,000! Charlie approached his colleagues and clients and initially raised $4,680 with the promise to shave his head. Together with Rosie’s team of four others the crew managed to raise $10,001.00 exactly! In addition to IPMG, corporate sponsors also included Sinnott Bros and Harvey Norman.

The relay required twenty four hour attendance by at least one member of the team. Relay for Life is for both young and old and
