Oh What a Night! IPMG's Outstanding Performance
at the 18th National Print Awards

Congratulations to the Independent Print Media Group once again this year for the outstanding results achieved at the 18th National Print Awards competition. We are proud to announce that IPMG has continued the winning streak evident over the years in the Print Awards competition, taking home a grand total of twenty nine medals - which is twenty awards more than won by our closest competitor, PMP Communications. The 18th National Print Awards was held on March 7th at the Crown Towers in Melbourne, in front of an enthusiastic printing industry crowd of over 1,000 people. IPMG printing companies truly shone at this glittering event, winning ten gold medals out of a possible 39, nine silver medals and ten bronze medals. Representatives from Craft Printing, Hannanprint, Hannanprint Victoria, Inprint, Offset Alpine Printing and The Potstill Press all attended with a number of clients to enjoy the evening and to collect their well deserved awards.

Kevin Rodda, Chief Executive of Inprint Group commented "Inprint's four gold medals continued the tradition of outstanding performance at the National Print Awards, particularly as the leading medal winner over the last 15 years.”

Inprint and Hannanprint Victoria (who was awarded with two gold as well as three silver and two bronze medals) were the only printers in the competition to win more than one gold medal!
The Pot Still Press also continued with outstanding results this year, adding a further seven awards – two gold, two silver and three bronze medals – to their extensive tally of over 100 medals in the 18 years of competition. Hugh Chisholm, General Manager of The Pot Still Press said that the categories that they entered represent some of the most difficult and hotly contested at this year’s awards. “Again, we have proven what exceptional skills we have and congratulations must go to all Pot Still staff, who made a contribution to the success of these projects,” he said. Hannanprint graced centre stage three times as they were awarded three bronze medals in the web offset publications categories while Offset Alpine Printing won a gold and a silver medal also for web offset printing. Another highlight of the evening was Craft’s gold medal win in the ‘Innovation’ category for their outstanding piece of work involving lenticular technology.

Craft is the pioneer in Australia of lenticular printing – which is a specialty process for three-dimensional and motion effects of up to thirty two image movements. This is the first time Craft has won gold at the awards.

Overall, IPMG printing divisions have achieved a great result yet again this year, building on the outstanding reputation that we have developed over the years for quality printing.
