Continuing its adoption of FOGRA Process Standard Offset (PSO) certification throughout the organisation, IPMG’s Hannanprint has achieved the perfect pass mark in attaining the third site certification for the printing group at it’s Alexandria plant. This latest achievement means that all of IPMG’s NSW offset plants – Craft Printing, Offset Alpine Printing and Hannanprint - are now FOGRA PSO-certified for consistent and predictable colour reproduction to ISO 12647-2 standards.
Hannanprint Managing Director Tony Dedda stated, “We are proud of achieving the FOGRA PSO certification and particularly pleased to have attained the highest possible mark in doing so. This certification is highly prized and widely regarded as the toughest benchmark in the global print industry. To achieve a perfect pass mark verifies Hannanprint’s ongoing and relentless commitment to quality.”
“PSO certification is very much linked to specific printing sites, presses, processes and people,” says Luke Wooldridge, Colour Specialist with Kayell Australia who oversaw the certification. “Even large groups such as IPMG need to implement it at site level, so it is terrific to see the widening adoption of PSO throughout the group. It is proof of IPMG management’s total commitment to quality and consistency on behalf of their customers.”
Kayell Australia Director Robert Gatto adds: “One hundred percent is a hard score to beat but it should be remembered that FOGRA PSO is an on-going process with re-testing every year to maintain certification. The benefits for both printers and their customers are considerable and PSO also makes life more enjoyable for production staff since they are working to known, measurable standards. The old days of finger-pointing when colour goes astray are ending fast. PSO under FOGRA is the stake-in-the-ground that unites all those involved in print production, to a common purpose of excellence.” |
